I2S Audio (ADC, DAC, and Amplifier)
Record and play audio on your Karyni with this expansion module.
xx Stereo Audio DAC provides analog audio from xx digital input audio stream. The analog audio is amplified by xxxx, which can directly drive 2x xxW speakers. An extra headphone output can be used to drive headphones with xx Ohm drivers, or drive an external amplifier for higher output power.
A stereo DAC takes input from 2x MEMS microphones located on the board for recording, or sound / voice processing applications.
Proximity, Gesture, and Light Sensor with LED Driver
Add a proximity, gesture, and light sensor to your project! The APDS-9960 from Avago Technologies provides an easy to use gesture sensor “to convert physical motion information (i.e. velocity, direction and distance) to a digital information”.
The gesture sensor can sense simple gestures like Up, Down, Left, Right, and also complex ones with the help of the built-in gesture engine. The proximity sensor can approximate the proximity of an object in front of the sensor by measuring time-of-flight of an IR pulse reflection. The ambient light sensor senses the amount of Red, Green, Blue, and clear light ambient on the sensor. It has built-in IR and UV blocking filters for very high sensitivity.
The 4 Channel LED driver allows to control brightness of 4 LEDs, using internal 3.3V power supply, or external power supply up to 28V.
Application Examples
- Lighting Automation
- Movement Sensing
- Gesture based menu navigation
LED Driver
Control up to 8 channels of high power LEDs with PWM dimming, using internal 3.3V power supply, USB / Li-ion power source, or an external power source up to 28V.
Motor Control
Control 2x motors with direction and speed control, using internal 3.3V power supply, direct supply from USB / Li-ion battery, or an external power supply.
Solid State Relay
This expansion module provides 4 channels of Solid State Relays. These relays can be used to turn on or off 4 different loads, each drawing a maximum of 2A current (660W for 220V regions).
These relays will not work for dimming applications! You need the LED driver expansion for that (up to 28V DC), or a separate TRIAC based controller for controlling traditional incandescent light bulbs (and motors).
Relay part no. CPC1976Y / G3MC202PLDC5 / G3MB-202P DC5
